Marina Overview
Edgartown Harbor on Martha’s Vineyard boasts more than 900 moorings, pristine scenery, rich history and active nightlife. Paired with the impeccable guest service of the Harbormasters Department, you have one of the busiest mooring fields in the country.
Edgartown Harbor employs an “opening day” policy for requesting reservations. On March 1st of each year, the Harbormaster’s Department collects hundreds of reservations to roll in over the course of just a few hours, helping them capture revenue for the town ahead of the season and minimize reservation management during the height of the summer.

The Challenge
On Edgartown’s Opening Booking Day, phones rang off their hooks as the employees scrambled to collect contact info, dates, and everything else needed to begin confirmation process for every reservation.
Employees took credit card information manually over the phone for every single person, manually typing them into a credit card machine in the office. It took 2 days to confirm every reservation request.
